Introducing: Beatriz Seelaender

We’ve got a third crewmate on the good ship Diachro: Beatriz Seelaender (Bia to her friends, and we desperately want to be her friend).

Maybe she wants to be Diachro’s friend, too: “I knew I wanted to send my manuscript to Diachroneity Books as soon as I read their submission guidelines. Odd commentary and off-centre humour? Genre with a literary bent? That's my jam.”

Her forthcoming novella with Diachro was inspired by what Seelaender assumed The Man Who Was Thursday (1908) was about before reading it: it tells the tale of a woman who is a different person every day of the week.

Welcome aboard, Beatriz!

Introducing: Jonathon Kane

Ahoy! Diachroneity Books has added a second shipmate: Jonathon Kane.

We don’t know much about him, other than that he’s a dude who lives in Australia, spends a lot of time offline and out of doors, and has written about the most beautiful and intriguing book we could imagine (and we’ve got some pretty good imaginations).

In the words of the author: “I’m useless at explanations, but I knew, making whatever it is I made, that I wanted it to be fragmentary, have significant gaps, perhaps, that the reader could fill in for themselves. I’m fond of white space, the unsaid, the part of the page, the part of the unwritten story, that’s always open to possibility, and wonder. See? I’m useless at it.”

Agree to disagree. Welcome aboard, Jonathon!

He has, literally, no social media. You’ll have to give him a holler in the Outback.

Introducing: Joe Butler

Diachroneity Books is wildly pleased to announce our first author, Joe Butler!

This London-based writer has officially boarded the HMS Diachro along with his mind-melter of a horror novel that will have you asking, “What did I ever do to you??”

In the words of the author: “I was really thinking, ‘This is going to be my most mainstream book.’ Then I started writing it, and I was like, ‘Oh fuck …’ ”

Welcome aboard, Joe!
